Florida Bat Removal, Florida Bat Pest Control

In Florida bat pest control is not the top topic of normal conversation that comes up in the state. This is not everyone brings the bat removal topic up on a regular basis. But Florida bat removal specialists know there are 13 different types of bats in the state and they differ from the north and south Florida. The major difference in bats is that in the northern part of Florida all of the bats are insectivorous (they eat insects) while in the southern part it is a mix of insectivorous and four species of bats that feed on nectar, pollen and fruit. This misinformation can be harmful to the bats in the state and the bat pest control species. With the bats that eat insects they help keep the states crops safe. Without these bats flying around the state would have major problems with our crops. A single bat can eat 1,000ís of insects a night. Can you imagine if farmers had to fight off 1,000ís of insects each day they would have to deal with? The cost of food throughout the state would rise over night. Also look at the bats that are feeding off nectar, pollen and fruit. Besides feeding on these sources they also spread the nectar and pollen. This allows for plants to be able to fruit and bloom each year. Without these bats we would have a much duller landscape. Along with the lack of information of how they help our environment there is much misinformation about the bats themselves. Have you ever heard the saying blind as a bat? The Bat is not blind. Many think so because of their echolocation that works like our sonar. This is untrue most bat pest control species have exceptional vision. They use both their vision an echolocation to hunt at night for their prey. Another misnomer is that bats are dirty rodents. First a bat is not a rodent and secondly they are actually very clean. Forget mom cleaning the kitchen some bat removal species will spend hours making sure their fur is clean. Finally bats are not naturally aggressive against humans. Bats are more afraid of us then we are of them. The only time that a bat will attack us if they feel threatened, then there will be a quick bite so they are able to escape. Bats are an important part of the Florida environment. Remember that the next time they spook you at Halloween.
